Many hospitals are seeking ways to showcase the babies born at their facilities and with Panacea, clients no longer need to seek out a third party vendor to do so. Our team has responded to this growing need by developing a module that allows clients to easily upload desired information about new births, including photos. The photos are indexed in order of date of birth and are listed by parent names. You can employ a release form for permission to display baby information, or utilize password protection on a baby-by-baby basis.
With Panacea, gone are the days of needing third party websites in order to publish a blog. Instead, we have created an integrated blog module that allows the client to use WordPress – a free state-of-the-art publishing platform – to create blogs that do not need to be hosted on a separate website. Doctors and researchers can post about their latest research while your users can leave comments or subscribe to an RSS feed of blogs.
With our Care Journals, your patients can create their own customized blogs. By sending out their personal Care Journal URL, their friends and family can monitor their progress. Each blog has password protection defined by the patient to ensure their privacy.
All too frequently, hospital systems find themselves implementing clinical trial volunteer recruitment strategies that are entirely separate from their overall web approach. Panacea’s Clinical Trials module eliminates this disconnect altogether providing a means for physicians to organize and advertise their trials, as well as a way for users to easily register for them. Further, clients are able to integrate their clinical trials throughout their website, just as with any other Panacea module. Each trial will display the category, description, summary, treatment involved, study status, eligibility requirements, participating physicians and any other information pertinent to the study. In addition to entering trials through Panacea, we can automatically pull trials from clinicaltrials.gov, which can either publish straight to your website or go through the approval process to modify any information.
It’s often the small details that can truly make a website or organization stand out. Our user-friendly E-Cards module lets you offer your patients a special personal touch. Users can create a card online that can then be hand-delivered by hospital staff to a patient. We provide several pre-made designs, and we are happy to upload any of your own that you send along to us! We know you care about the little things. That is why we do too.
Advertising your events and classes can be a great way to keep website visitors up to speed, and Panacea’s Events & Classes Module offers an intuitive way for clients to organize these calendar items. Beyond simply providing calendar entries, however, this module provides clients with absolute control over every aspect of the registration process, including defining and ordering form fields, controlling registration numbers and much more.
With Panacea’s File Library module you can upload pdfs, large illustrations and more, as well as easily integrate them throughout your website. Updating these files is simple. When you upload replacement files, Panacea automatically ensures that any links to the original file are updated, keeping internal and external links relevant throughout your site.
One of the trickier aspects of developing a website can be the implementation and maintenance of forms. Fortunately, PhotoBooks is here to take the stress out of it. When a form is completed, our form review system notifies the appropriate staff member via email that an entry is in need of review. From there, we provide you with the power to archive, export or delete entries as needed. Panacea’s Gift Shop module is a prime example of this flexibility. Users may purchase a gift or flowers for a patient or employee 24 hours a day via a secured credit card transaction and have it hand delivered directly to the recipient. The items in the Gift Shop can be easily added, edited or deleted by a staff member. Sale prices complete with start and end dates can be automatically set up in advance.
Panacea dynamically integrates information throughout your site via metadata. If a user is looking at a doctor that specializes in cardiac care, they can easily access articles, clinical trials, videos and classes pertaining to cardiac care as well. Likewise, accessing a class can direct them back to affiliated doctors, articles, videos and clinical trials. The end result is a seamless site that provides users with useful information at their fingertips.
One sizable challenge for a healthcare system website is hosting microsites for individual hospitals and health centers within the health care system. With Panacea, the look of each website and microsite is fully customizable, allowing our clients the ability to visually distinguish between individual hospital and health center web pages without disrupting overall flow. Microsites can be as similar to their parent site as needed for branding purposes or they can be unique; including customization of graphical themes, headers and navigation. Panacea can even allow our clients to control stand-alone microsites that have independent URLs from within the same system as the larger site.

Panacea’s MyHealth module allows users to securely store and access their personal health information such as diet and exercise patterns, blood sugar and blood pressure. The MyHealth patient portal can also be integrated with third party physician communication vendors such as RelayHealth in order to allow for secure communication between your patients and their physicians.
Controlling newsletters in Panacea is as straightforward as controlling your web pages. In fact, the process is virtually identical, eliminating the confusion and frustration of learning a separate system. The only difference between creating a web page and a newsletter is that when a newsletter is created, you are required to provide it with a release date. When that date arrives, the newsletter is sent out to emails on the recipient list and is populated throughout appropriate sections of the website, including RSS feeds. Users can view and search on all published newsletters on your site or can subscribe to receive new newsletters via email.
Panacea provides a physician directory that is fully integrated throughout your site. If you want to highlight a heart center, cancer center or any other unique feature of your system, you can easily establish alternate displays of your physician data. These alternative views can be as individualized as you desire including unique graphics and interfaces.
Editing physician profiles takes only moments, whether you edit them individually or in large batches. Additionally, physicians can update and augment their own password-protected profiles. Once completed, these edits can undergo a review process by your credentialing department before being published live. If your physician data comes from a third party application, we can perform automated imports multiple times a day. We can also incorporate interactive geocoding through Google Maps so users can get accurate directions to physician offices.
Panacea takes the pressure off of organizing and keeping track of all of your press releases. When you create a new press release, you are prompted to assign a date to the release. Panacea keeps the release hidden until that date, at which point it will be automatically populated throughout the site as appropriate, including through RSS feeds. Additionally, Panacea’s customization offers you the power to determine exactly which articles or events are worthy of being featured in any of your website’s automated press release feeds.
Our unique download module allows your staff to create password-protected areas where your doctors or patients can log in to download files. You set the username and password for each group of files and upload any documents that you want that group to be able to download. You can edit the username and password anytime you wish. You can also create a landing page for them to go to after they have logged in. Any files that you have placed in their folder will dynamically appear as links that they can click on and download.

Clients can create customized Page Not Found error pages as well as stage multiple dark site default pages for emergency use. If you would prefer to work directly with the page’s HTML code, you can do so with a single click.
Panacea offers you the ability to set up multiple emergency dark site home pages ahead of time for various emergencies such as tornados, earthquakes, floods and general emergency pages. This functionality can also be used for customized splash pages.
PhotoBooks has developed a user-friendly means of uploading and displaying videos through Panacea. The application is easy enough to use that our clients are free to upload all of their own videos, titles, icons and descriptions whenever they have new media to share with their users. More importantly, these videos can be integrated throughout their website with the touch of a button. Panacea’s small video players fit neatly into callouts or into the main content with the text flowing smoothly around them, and can be expanded to full screen if desired. They can be dynamically linked to physician profiles in place of a photo and can even link directly back to the media library.
Videos can be chosen by category or by related content and users have the ability to rate each video. You have control over the number of views, types of ratings and number of votes that are displayed to users for the sake of controlling your positive web presence. Like all Panacea files, replacement of video files is simple and populates throughout your site automatically so you don’t have to worry about dead links.
Promotions are an important part of your marketing strategy. Panacea makes it easy to display multiple promotions as well as incorporate new promotions as needed. Promotional images and text can be uploaded to a folder in Panacea’s File Library. Promotional boxes on your site will randomly display assorted promotions from a pre-established list. You can delete expired promotions quickly and easily. Combined with the ease of uploading new promotions you can keep your marketing presence continually fresh and up-to-date with minimal effort.
