PhotoBooks started out in 1992 as part of the ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center) on the Georgia Tech campus. The ATDC, designed to "accelerate the formation and growth of technology-based companies in Georgia," assists start-up technology companies by providing them with advice, aiding them with making business connections, and promoting a sense of community. In 1995, we graduated from the ATDC by proving that we had enough sustainable revenue to sufficiently support the company long-term.
In 1997, we moved to the Inman Park area of Atlanta, located two miles east of downtown. Built in the 1880s, Inman Park was Atlanta's first planned community and one of the nation's first garden suburbs. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
In order to expand our facilities further, we moved again in July 2003. The new office is larger and more open, and is located only a few miles from the former location.
